It's been quite a day...

...the first thing I heard on the radio today was that a Cleveland Policeman was killed in action. This saddens me. I feel that we owe a great debt to people who work on keeping us safe and saving our lives. I am sad for the loss and sad for his family. The sleeze who killed him is a man who was wanted on rape. He gets to live, but the policeman is dead. It's just not right.
I have two possible gigs in the making with my choreography. I'm pretty sure one of them won't work - but the other one - I REALLY hope it does! Two in one day - FANTASTIC!
I've been catching up with an old friend and, I will admit, I like it very much. I have missed having this person in my life and find great joy in this reconnection.
It's the holiday weekend - and though I have no real big plans, I am looking forward to relaxing and hanging out with friends. St. Rocco's has their feast this weekend, too - the official end of summer celebration. Tuesday starts a new school year and a second chance at a new beginning to the year. Both excite me.

Catch Up

The past few days have been busy: Open House went very well. It got me all excited for the new upcoming school year. I have a new and rejuvenate passion for my job.
Monday, we went to Cedar Point and I had my last corn dog of the summer. It was delicious!
I went and saw 'Idlewild' last night. I wasn't expecting much. I went as a "work must". I was pleasantly surprised - not a bad flick. Outkast is talented and I just adore the era of the movie. I'm telling you to go run out and see it, but it's not as bad as I thought it would be - it's a hell of a lot better than 'The Devil Wears Prada'!

Waiver

Recently, I took some pictures and sent them to friends. The few that were in the pictures with me got a little upset about that (cuz when you take photos, I guess you're supposed to hide them and never show them). Take this as a warning, unless you sign the waiver below, if I take a picture, I may use it :)

PICTURE WAIVER
I, (insert name here), do not want the images of me used in any way, shape or form. Photos are to be hidden and never to be looked at.

Ode to farfegnuggen

Vivi was a good car. I had my silver jetta for 5 years. She caused me little annoyance and many years of fond memories (Chicago, South Carolina, Toronto, Niagra Falls, Pittsburgh, Detroit and many more). But the lease is up. I'd like to introduce you to.... Bagoda (as in Abe). He is a black 2006 Jetta and is a smooth mf'ing ride. He can't wait for all the future roadtrips (D.C. in October is already planned).

Damn Osama!

I have to fly next week and he is going to make my experience a pain in the ass! I can't even bring a bottle of water on the flight! "Don't let the terrorists win" - argh!

Jockin' Mike D. to my dismay

So, Dustin Diamond, aka Screech, is begging people to help him save his house. Here's my question, besides his nice lump of money from 'Saved By the Bell', his brother is Mike D. from the Beastie Boys. If they were to put that together, shouldn't he be more than fine?!?!

I'm borrowing this from a friend...

"As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that wasn't supposed to ever let you down probably will. You will have your heart broken probably more than once and it's harder every time. You'll break hearts too, so remember how it felt when yours was broken. You'll fight with your best friend. You'll blame a new love for things an old one did. You'll cry because time is passing too fast, and you'll eventually lose someone you love. So take too many pictures, laugh too much, and love like you've never been hurt because every sixty seconds you spend upset is a minute of happiness you'll never get back."
