Livid!
I heard on the radio today that Courtney Love has sold 25% of Nirvanas music catalog and rights. WTF!?!?! Now, I am not the biggest Nirvana fan in the world, but I like it and the works of Kurt Cobain. Like it or not folks, he is a music icon. He set a new trend and everyone followed it in the 90's. Then this no talent, ex hooker, dipshit goes and sells his music for a chunk of change. Disgraceful. Soon I'll be hearing an ad for Duracell batteries with the song, 'Lithium', playing in the background. It will be just like how ill I feel everytime a lame television commercial uses a Beatle tune - I'm sure Lennon & McCartney did not intend for 'Love Is All You Need', to be used to sell a bank (damn Michael Jackson). For his widow to do this (and mark my word when I say I don't doubt the murder conspiracy), it's a shame... a damn shame.

Yes I can cook, too!
Peanut Butter and Jelly Bars
1/2 pound (2 sticks) unsalted butter, at room temperature 1 1/2 cups sugar 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract 2 extra-large eggs, at room temperature 2 cups (18 ounces) creamy peanut butter (recommended: Skippy) 3 cups all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking powder 1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt 1 1/2 cups (18 ounces) raspberry jam or other jam 2/3 cups salted peanuts, coarsely chopped
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Grease a 9 by 13 by 2-inch cake pan. Line it with parchment paper, then grease and flour the pan. In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, cream the butter and sugar on medium speed until light yellow, about 2 minutes. With the mixer on low speed, add the vanilla, eggs, and peanut butter and mix until all ingredients are combined. In a small bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt. With the mixer on low speed, slowly add the flour mixture to the peanut butter mixture. Mix just until combined. Spread 2/3 of the dough into the prepared cake pan and spread over the bottom with a knife or offset spatula. Spread the jam evenly over the dough. Drop small globs of the remaining dough evenly over the jam. Don't worry if all the jam isn't covered; it will spread in the oven. Sprinkle with chopped peanuts and bake for 45 minutes, until golden brown. Cool and cut into squares. Peanut Butter and Jelly Bars

So sowwy
I MISS Mark Pi's! I miss Westagte as a whole, but I really miss Mark Pi's. The super fast, oh so good little fast food Chinese take out restaurant that was a staple to my weekly lunch habits is gone. And I am going insane! I need my sesame chicken - it was my comfort food. Where can I find another Mark Pi's?!?

Third wheel
I hung out tonight with my bestest gal pal, Magdalyn, and her debonair manfriend, Drew. I was totally the third wheel. And for the first time, in a long while, it didn't bother me. We were hanging out in Chagrin Falls - had a beer at the outside Gamekeepers bar - watched the Tribe game (ouch) - had a man over fifty give me the eye (made the night complete). IT was great. And they made me feel very happy. Yeah!
